Schools set plans in event of strike
GENEVA – Geneva School District 304 officials announced if teachers strike today, the district will notify parents using its emergency notification system, 304Connects, local media and the district website, www.geneva304.org.
Students will not be required to attend school, but if they do, parents should call 630-463-3088, spell the child’s name and state the grade and school.
In a statement, Geneva High School Principal Thomas Rogers said the high school will be open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. if there is a work stoppage. Students dropped off by their parents should enter by the Mack Olson gym or contest gym because all other doors will be locked.
