Two St. Charles businesses fail liquor compliance checks
ST. CHARLES – In a recent liquor compliance check, employees of two St. Charles businesses sold alcohol to minors – a violation that could get the establishments in trouble with the St. Charles Liquor Commission, St. Charles Police Department spokesman Paul McCurtain said.
Wearing civilian clothing, police personnel accompanied 18- and 19-year-old civilian agents to 17 businesses Nov. 2 for the fourth-quarter compliance checks, McCurtain said.
Fifteen businesses passed inspection and will receive congratulatory letters of compliance from Chief Jim Lamkin, McCurtain said.
