Election Central

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

When I walked into my polling place to vote in the General Election at 8 a.m. Tuesday, I was stunned that I was the only one there besides the election judges. After asking about their turnout so far, they quickly assured me that I had just missed a rush of people and they expected to have a steady flow throughout the day.

Election judges Ed Runner and Elsie Schneider, both of Elburn, handled a steady crowd at the Town and Country Public Library in Elburn Tuesday and said the only lull they had before 1 p.m. was around noon, when it started raining outside.

I have photographed voters for over 16 years and most judges, volunteers and voters have been very welcoming to me. The Town and Country Library was no different. Thank you all for your service.
