Local sisters release book about childhood adventures, life
AURORA – “Fluffy, Funny, and Fabulous – A Tale of Five Sisters,” written by Anita (Altepeter) Lewis of Aurora, Vicki (Altepeter) Foley of St. Charles, Linda (Altepeter) Tarmichael of North Aurora, Ruth (Altepeter) Kenyon, and Helen (Altepeter) Landrum of Moline, is a true story about the childhood adventures of five sisters from the small farming community of Virgil, Ill.
The story also includes accounts where the sisters had to combine their strengths and draw upon their faith to overcome challenges.
The book’s official release date is Dec. 18, when the book will be available at Amazon.com.
But it will be available at upcoming pre-release book signings, as well as online at www.tatepublishing.com.
All five sisters will be on hand at area meet and greets and signings Nov. 16-18.
Upcoming pre-release events will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. Nov. 16 at 318 Coffeehouse, 318 S. 3rd St., Geneva; 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 17 at Luau Coffeehouse, 40W301 Route 64, Wasco; 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 17 at Pheasant Run Resort, 4051 E. Main St., St. Charles; 10 a.m. to noon, Nov. 18 at Plum Landing, 495 N. Lake St., Aurora; and from 3 to 6 p.m. Nov. 18 at Lil’ Jim’s Country Tavern in Virgil.
