Missing Montgomery teen reunited with family

MONTGOMERY – A teenage girl from the Montgomery area who had been missing since Sunday has been reunited with her family.

Reyna Marie Martinez, 13, had been reported missing, but the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office on Friday issued a statement titled “runaway juvenile recovered” that stated it no longer was seeking assistance in locating Martinez.

Craig French, public information office for the sheriff’s office, said someone recognized Martinez in Plainfield and alerted authorities.

Sheriff’s officials said she had been located by the Plainfield Police Department and reunited with her family.

French said authorities used social media websites, such as Facebook, and the public while looking for Martinez. He said the incident was treated as a runaway juvenile case.

Martinez was not injured, and no foul play was suspected in her disappearance.
