Police break up huge party in St. Charles

ST. CHARLES – A St. Charles homeowner was ticketed this week following a Friday night party that included underage drinking that involved as many as 71 people, according to the St. Charles Police Department.

Upon responding to Persimmon and Hunt Club drives at 9:15 p.m. Nov. 2, two officers reportedly saw numerous cars and juveniles throughout the block.

As the officers approached the residence hosting the party, several juveniles fled through the back door and others climbed out windows, police reported.

More officers arrived and contained the remaining 71 subjects inside, police reported, noting their ages ranged from 14 to 18. The parents of 65 juveniles were called and asked to come to the scene, police reported. The juveniles were reportedly released into the custody of their parents or guardian.

Police also reported "a large number of beer cans" were found and that four St. Charles juveniles – ages 15, 16, 17 and 17 – were intoxicated and charged with underage drinking.

Lisa J. Lorenzini, 50, of the 200 block of Persimmon Drive, was charged with social hosting after all the reports were completed and reviewed on Monday, police reported.

The city ordinance violation carries a fine between $250 and $500.
