Elburn police reports

• A man, 44, of the 1100 block of Moty Street, Elburn, told police Oct. 6 that someone had used spray paint to deface the garage door at his residence and had poured ketchup and mustard on the garage door and his home’s driveway and walkway.

• Tyler Palmer, 18, of the 100 block of North First Street, Elburn, was arrested Oct. 24 on a warrant for aggravated domestic battery.

• Vidal Avalos, 21, of the 200 block of North 15th Street, St. Charles, was arrested Oct. 30 on an Aurora Police Department warrant for driving while license suspended. He also was issued new charges, including driving while license suspended and driving on the sidewalk.

• A man, 56, of Elburn, turned over to police a toolbox he said he found on the side of the road in the 1400 block of South Anderson Road on Oct. 31. The toolbox contained various tools, including a power drill and a lock box, such as those commonly used by real estate agents.

• Police continue to look for two Hispanic males believed to have stolen a car in St. Charles and then rolled over in a crash in Elburn. Police said the crash occurred Oct. 31 in the intersection of Thryselius Drive and West South Street, Elburn. Witnesses said two Hispanic males wearing, respectively, a black-hooded sweatshirt and a yellow-hooded sweatshirt, fled the scene on foot. An Elburn officer later saw two subjects matching the descriptions walking through a farm field about a quarter mile from the scene of the crash. When the officer initiated a pursuit, the suspects fled on foot through the field, before the officer lost sight of them over a hill. A canine unit was later called in and failed to pick up a scent. The vehicle, which belonged to an 18-year-old St. Charles man, was later reported stolen to St. Charles police.

• Alexander Lopez, 25, of the 300 block of Cloverleaf Court, St. Charles, was arrested Nov. 2 on a DeKalb County warrant for failure to appear in court. He was also issued new charges, including speeding in a school zone and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
