To the Editor:
The Illinois Democrats and labor unions voted to give control of the state to the Democrats.
With the Democrats' supermajority, the GOP can stay home, which will save millions of dollars.
The supermajority gives House Speaker Michael Madigan an unstoppable means of passing pension reform. Under Madigan's agenda, teacher pensions will be transferred from the state to the local school districts. With teacher contracts already increasing property taxes, Madigan's pension reform will explode property taxes.
