Woman in Batavia fatal crash identified

BATAVIA - The Batavia Police Department has released the name of the person killed in a car crash at 11:52 p.m. Wednesday on South Randall Road south of Mill Creek.

Amy P. Holtorf, 43, of Batavia, was traveling northbound on Randall Road just south of Mill Creek when her 2005 Honda Odyssey crossed the center lane and struck a 2012 Nissan Rogue traveling southbound.

Holtorf was killed at the scene and one of the occupants traveling in the Nissan was transported to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries, police said. The other occupant of the Nissan was flown by helicopter to Good Samitarian Hospital in Downers Grove in serious/critical condition.

The identities of the occupants in the Nissan are being withheld pending family notification outside the area. The Batavia Police Department and the Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team continue to investigate the crash.
