West Aurora drama club to show ‘The Bad Seed’

AURORA – West Aurora High School’s drama students will present “The Bad Seed” at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, in the school auditorium, 1201 W. New York St., Aurora.

“The Bad Seed,” a Broadway production, is set in a small Southern town where Colonel and Christine Penmark live with their daughter, Rhoda. On the surface, Rhoda is an exemplary daughter who is sweet and charming, but she also has a dark side. When one of Rhoda’s schoolmates is mysteriously drowned at a picnic, Mrs. Penmark is alarmed. For the boy who drowned had won an award Rhoda had thought she deserved.

Tickets for the play are $8 and can be purchased online at sd129tickets.org.
