The Little Traveler to host book signing with local children’s author

GENEVA – Local children’s author, S. Moo (Shannon “Guernsey” Coulter), will have a book signing from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at The Little Traveler, 404 S. 3rd St., Geneva.

S. Moo is also the author of The Fassa Tails Series, a book series dedicated to inspiring kids to read, play and use their imaginations.

Copies of the first book in the series, “Where on Earth Am I? Fassa’s 52 Weeks of Fun!” will be signed by S. Moo at the event.

The book features an imaginative cat, Fassa, who wakes up in a strange place feeling dizzy. Fassa has to use his five senses to figure out where he is in the world. Drawing from past adventures and desire to reacquaint himself with a lost friend, Fassa becomes determined to find his way. The book shares the lesson that persistence pays off.

Readers will also find 52 weeks of jokes, vocab words, quotes and journal entries in the second half of the book.

S. Moo is also the founder of Naperville’s Planet Fassa, a children’s book and activity company.

About the author

S. Moo (Shannon “Guernsey” Coulter) started her career as a communications consultant.

In 2009, as S. Moo became an aunt and stepmother, she began to feel the toll too much technology had on the behavior of children.

It seemed to get in the way of imagination. After extensive research, she learned this phenomenon was affecting kids everywhere, according to a news release.

So, S. Moo left corporate America to help kids discover the beauty of imagination, reading, and “free play” through her writing, the release states.

S. Moo is the author of seven children’s books.
