Prep roundup: Rosary girls basketball at .500
HINCKLEY – The Rosary girls basketball team moved to .500 on the season with a 52-38 nonconference win Monday at Hinckley-Big Rock.
Junior Rachel Choice scored 18 points and senior Karly Tate added 14 points for the Royals (3-3), who maintained their margin after building a 14-point halftime cushion.
Rosary coach Jessie Wilcox was especially enthused by Quincy Kellett’s seven points and eight steals off the bench.
The Royals return to action tonight with a home game against intracity rival West Aurora.
Andersen, Eagles cruise past Harvest Christian
AURORA – Alyssa Andersen scored 17 points to lead three players in double figures, helping Aurora Christian improve to 3-2 with a 65-15 home win over Harvest Christian. Natasha Brown notched a double-double for the Eagles, collecting 15 points and 10 rebounds. Melissa Moser added 14 points.
