• Police are investigating a burglary at a business in the 1000 block of Airpark Road that was reported Nov. 17. Witnesses told police they saw two males with dark hair who did not appear to belong in the business leaving the building on that date. Shortly after, employees discovered that a work station had been vandalized with graffiti, written with a black magic marker, that matched markings used by the Latin Kings gang. Also, employees reported that stacks of papers prepared for Sunday delivery had been knocked over. Police said the graffiti and other damage appeared to have been directed at one particular employee of the business.

• Police said mailboxes at 13 homes were damaged or destroyed between Nov. 19 and Nov. 21. The damage was reported at homes on Chestnut Hill Lane, Edgewood Drive, Chesney Drive, Black Walnut Drive, Merill New Road, Elm Street, Hickory Street and Queens Gate Circle. Police said the damage appeared to have been caused by pumpkins thrown at the mailboxes from a moving vehicle.

• An employee at a convenience store in the 100 block of Route 47, Sugar Grove, told police someone had attempted to break into the store by prying open a side door during the early morning hours of Nov. 21. Police investigated the incident, and discovered pry marks on the side door jamb, but have located no suspects. At no time did the suspect appear to enter the store, police said.

• Valerie M. McNamara, 25, of the 0S000-0S100 block of Rowe Road, Elburn, was charged Nov. 22 with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content of more than .08, driving too fast for conditions, and improper lane usage.
