Store in St. Charles robbed of drugs
ST. CHARLES – The St. Charles Police Department is investigating the Monday night robbery of a drugstore on the city’s east side, spokesman Paul McCurtain said Thursday.
Police were called to Walgreens, 2751 E. Main St., at 9:35 p.m. where an employee said a male subject called the pharmacy telephone and said his companion was in the store, had a gun and was watching the employees, McCurtain said.
He said the caller then told the employee to put pills into a bag and place it into the store’s pickup window.
