The Pink Floyd tribute band Echoes of Pompeii will perform the album “The Dark Side of the Moon” at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Elgin Community College Arts Center Blizzard Theatre in Elgin.

ELGIN – The Pink Floyd tribute band Echoes of Pompeii will perform the album, “The Dark Side of the Moon” at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Elgin Community College Arts Center Blizzard Theatre located in Building H on the Spartan Drive Campus, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin.

It’s the 40th anniversary of the recording of Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon.” And in commemoration of the album’s anniversary, Echoes of Pompeii will perform it in its entirety. 

Echoes will perform 10 tracks including “Time,” “Money,” and “Great Gig in the Sky,” as well as other Pink Floyd favorites.

In addition, the sights, sounds, and atmosphere associated with Pink Floyd concerts will be recreated in the theatre, including the use of laser lights and videos. Tickets for this concert cost $30. Tickets for all performances in the ECC Arts Center are available online at tickets.elgin.edu or at the box office located in the arts center. Box office hours are noon to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and noon to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. To purchase tickets by phone, call 847-622-0300.
