The 43rd annual Pearl Harbor Day Memorial Luncheon set for Monday

The Navy League, Aurora Council recently had its monthly dinner meeting, where a presentation was given by Mjr. Mark Emerson, who leads the Marmion Academy’s military program.

The next event will be the 43rd annual Pearl Harbor Day Memorial Luncheon. The luncheon will take place at 11:15 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10. The Navy League and the Rotary Club of Aurora are joining forces to host the luncheon and the 26th annual Ted Brattin Civic Youth Awards. The event will take place at the Gaslite Manor, 2485 Church Road, Aurora. The cost to attend is $20 a person, which includes a buffet lunch.

The combined event will commemorate the Pearl Harbor attack, honor several survivors from Pearl Harbor who will be in attendance, and give awards for outstanding civic service to area high-school students.
