Heritage Woods employee charged with theft

BATAVIA – An employee working for the Heritage Woods of Batavia assisted-living community has been charged with stealing a check from a resident Nov. 20 and making a $1,000 withdrawal from the woman’s bank.

Teejana S. Perry, 19, of the 29W400 block of Hawthorne Lane, Warrenville, has been charged with financial exploitation of an elderly person and forgery, both felonies. Her next court date is set for 9 a.m. Wednesday.

According to court records, Perry stole a check from the victim and wrote a check to herself for $1,000.
