Red Gate Bridge opening ceremony set
ST. CHARLES – The city of St. Charles will mark the opening of the roadway portion of Red Gate Bridge with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Dec. 15.
The bridge extends Red Gate Road across the Fox River to Route 25, providing St. Charles with its northernmost river crossing.
Mayor Don DeWitte said in a written statement that the bridge’s opening has been a long time coming.
