Elgin man charged with home invasion
A 25-year-old man who threatened a South Elgin resident with a BB gun and a golf club is being held on $751,000 bond pending a Dec. 21 court date, according to the South Elgin Police Department.
Carliss Henderson, of the 700 block of West Highland Avenue, Elgin, was charged Saturday with home invasion, two counts of armed robbery, aggravated unlawful restraint and criminal damage to property.
He reportedly kicked the door of an acquaintance in the 400 block of Lowell Drive in South Elgin about 1 p.m. Saturday. He refused to leave and threatened the victim with a BB gun and a golf club, according to police.
