North Aurora police look into armed robbery

NORTH AURORA – North Aurora police are investigating an armed robbery of a female 7-Eleven employee Monday outside of the store at 2 S. Lincolnway.

North Aurora Deputy Chief Scott Buziecki said he could not share information on whether the department has any leads or witnesses.

The department was dispatched to the store at 9:57 a.m. for a report of an armed robbery. About 9:40 a.m., a female employee was robbed outside of the store as she was transporting store money to the bank. According to police, the suspect was waiting out of sight on the south side of the building, knocked the employee to the ground, displayed the barrel of a gun and demanded money.
