BLACKBERRY TOWNSHIP – The race is on for the next Blackberry Township supervisor.

Blackberry Township Cemetery Superintendent and Sexton Fred Dornback has announced he will run as an Independent candidate for Blackberry Township supervisor. Blackberry Township Supervisor David Richmond, who has held the post for the past four years, said he will not seek reelection in April to spend more time with his family.

“I’m starting to step back from a few outside things in life,” Richmond said Tuesday. “My kids are at a critical age. I have twins in eighth grade, and a freshman in high school.”
