Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles East and St. Charles North all were assigned to the Class 4A Bartlett Sectional as part of the girls basketball postseason assignments released Wednesday.
East is set to host a regional within the sectional complex. Class 3A and 4A seeds (Jan. 24) and pairings (Jan. 25) are slated to be unveiled next month.
In 3A, Burlington Central will host Kaneland, among other schools, in a regional that feeds into the Genoa-Kingston Sectional. Rosary, St. Francis, Aurora Central Catholic and regional host Wheaton Academy are part of the 3A Nazareth Academy Sectional.
Aurora Christian will play in the 2A Wilmington Regional, part of the Orion Sectional. Seeds and pairings for 1A and 2A will be announced one week earlier than those for 3A and 4A.
