Armed robbery suspect held on $500,000 bail
ST. CHARLES – A Glendale Heights man is being held on $500,000 bail after palm prints linked him to an armed robbery in St. Charles last spring, police said Thursday.
Antwon D. Powell, 32, of the 2100 block of Roland Drive, faces one count of armed robbery with a firearm, a Class X felony. He must pay 10 percent of his bail, or $50,000, to be released from custody pending trial.
On May 19, two men – one armed with a handgun – reportedly approached a 37-year-old man walking in a bank parking lot in the 1500 block of West Main Street in St. Charles. The men stole money, a wrist watch, a cellphone and a plastic bag containing cigars from the victim, police said.
