Geneva resident Neil Gesell, 49, was shopping at Geneva’s Christmas Walk when he answered nine questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.

Where did you grow up? Gibson City

Pets? A wire fox terrier named Koby

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Matt Damon

First job? I delivered the Champaign-Urbana News-Gazette.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be a teacher, but I became a mortgage insurance analyst instead.

Favorite charity? I am part of the deacons at Fox Valley Presbyterian Church in Geneva. We help out people in the community.

Hobbies? Reading and sudoku

Favorite local restaurant? The Ale House in Geneva

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I saved a boy from drowning at the Wisconsin Dells about 10 years ago. This little boy jumped in a deeper pool than he thought, so I jumped in and picked him up and put him back on the deck.
