EvenFlow cited on liquor violation

GENEVA – The owner of EvenFlow Music and Spirits was cited in a liquor code complaint alleging that one of the club’s partners consumed alcohol at 4 a.m. Nov. 17, in violation of the city’s code, which does not allow alcohol to be consumed at licensed premises between 2 and 6 a.m. any day of the week.

Mayor Kevin Burns, acting as the city’s liquor commissioner, scheduled a hearing for 1 p.m. Thursday at City Hall, 22 S. First St., to consider the charges.

The citation states that an employee permitted Nicholas Mercadante to consume alcohol. The citation was issued to Michael Knuth, manager and owner of the dinner, bar and live music venue at 302 W. State St., and to Lavelle Law in Palatine, as the registered agent.
