ST. CHARLES – Batavia’s Marc Goodin (145 pounds), Jon Wagner (160), Nick Offutt (170) and Connor McKeehan (285) scored first-period falls Thursday to help the Bulldogs defeat St. Charles North, 63-15, in an Upstate Eight Conference River Division wrestling dual.

“They were better than we were,” North coach Pete McNamara said of the Bulldogs, who had eight falls overall, “but our kids did well. They’re still learning.”

Batavia (2-0 UEC River) yielded two of its three losses by forfeit. The North Stars (2-3 UEC River) got a 2-0 decision victory from Conrad Noverini at 113.
