Geneva man faces felony drug charges
GENEVA – A Geneva man was charged with felony manufacture/delivery of 30 to 500 grams of marijuana, according to police reports.
James E. Thrasher, 28, of the 900 block of Manchester Course, also was charged Nov. 30 with felony possession of 30 to 500 grams of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
The felony charges carry penalties of one to five years in prison and fines of up to $25,000 upon conviction. The misdemeanor charge has a penalty of up to a year in jail and fines of up to $2,500.
Thrasher was released on $2,500 bond, 10 percent of the $25,000 bail that was set. He is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 29.
In connection with the investigation, Adam C. Lottino, 28, of the 200 block of Walnut Drive, St. Charles, also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, and Cung H. Tran, 30, of the 1000 block of Hillcrest Drive, Carol Stream, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and less than 2.5 grams of marijuana, both misdemeanors.
Lottino’s and Tran’s charges are punishable by up to a year in jail and fines of up to $2,500. Both are scheduled to appear in court Jan. 15.
