GENEVA – Since Monday, nine candidates have filed for the April 9 Geneva School District 304 board election.

Four seats on the seven-member board are up for election.

Five candidates filed simultaneously, and they participated in a lottery to determine ballot placement.

The ballot will read in the following order: incumbent Mark Grosso, David J. Lamb, William R. Wilson, Jay Moffat and Daniel J. Garrett.

Four candidates later filed. They are Robert L. Cabeen, Jeffrey K. DiOrio, Fred A. Dresser and former Geneva school board member Leslie N. Juby.

There also will be a lottery to determine who will be first, second and third on the ballot for St. Charles mayor.

The lottery – which will be at 4 p.m. Dec. 27 in the City Council Chambers, 2 E. Main St. – also will determine ballot placement for several candidates running to represent the 2nd and 5th wards.

Candidates seeking ballot positions are John E. Rabchuk, Raymond P. Rogina and Jotham S. Stein for mayor; Clifford X. Carrignan and Arthur J. Lemke for the 2nd Ward; and Maureen Lewis and Kimberly A. Malay for the 5th Ward.
