Face Time with Soad Ajaj

Geneva resident Soad Ajaj, 16, was at the Geneva Public Library when she answered 10 questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.

Where did you grow up? I was born in Philadelphia. I moved to Michigan when I was 7, moved to St. Charles when I was 9 and to Geneva when I was 10.

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Mila Kunis or Anne Hathaway

First job? I’ve done baby-sitting for my neighbors, but I’m looking for a job.

What do you want to be when you grow up? Either a dermatologist or definitely a homicide detective.

A book you’d recommend? “The Hunger Games” by Suzanne Collins or the “Gossip Girl” series by Cecily von Ziegesar

Favorite charity? Susan G. Komen for the Cure

Hobbies? I’m on the speech team, and I play badminton at Geneva High School.

Do you speak another language? I speak Arabic, and I’m learning Spanish in school.

Favorite local restaurant? California Pizza Kitchen in Geneva

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I am 25 percent Puerto Rican and 75 percent Palestinian.
