Kaneland HS principal: 'Rumor' investigated; 'no credible threat'

Kaneland High School Principal Chip Hickman this week delivered a message that addressed "rumors of possible incidents at Kaneland High School." In the message, he said that some students and families had contacted the school regarding what ultimately was deemed to be "an inadvertent conversation in the lunchroom."

Hickman's message indicated that, in cooperation with law enforcement, the reports were investigated.

"We can confirm that there is no credible threat to students," Hickman's message read.
