Letter: Keep true meaning of the season
To the Editor:
Superstorm Sandy destroyed lives. Homes are gone, jobs are gone, whole communities are gone. Many feel overwhelmed as if hope, itself, were gone. Now it’s Christmastime, and it seems impossible to celebrate and find joy.
The amazing aspect of hope and joy, however, is that they are already wrapped and under our tree! They are God’s gifts to us – His special blessings. He wants us to know that His unique promises enable us to live fully, even when circumstances seem impossible and hopeless.
