Hart named Moose International CEO; Airey retires

MOOSEHEART – William Airey no longer is the director general and CEO of Moose International. A news release issued by the organization on Friday said that Airey was retiring. He will be replaced by Scott Hart, who is the executive director of Mooseheart Child City and School, which is near Batavia.

A lawsuit was filed last week against Airey, 71, in Franklin County Court in Ohio. In the suit, Airey was accused of sexually abusing, molesting and exploiting Jason Peck, 44, on two occasions when Peck was a minor.

Hart will assume his new duties immediately. A news release issued Friday by Moose International said that Airey will stay on with the Moose as a consultant through Jan. 31.
