St. Charles police remind motorists of winter parking rules

ST. CHARLES – Winter parking restrictions will be in effect when snowfalls total 2 inches or more, the St. Charles Police Department said in a news release about winter public safety information and snow routes.

Through April 30 in St. Charles, vehicles must not be parked on uncleared streets designated as snow routes when accumulations reach at least 2 inches.

By not parking on snow routes when there is freshly fallen snow, motorists will allow city streets to be swiftly cleared, which makes traveling safer, the news release states.
