Two more candidates join D-303 board race

ST. CHARLES – Two more candidates have entered the race for the St. Charles School District 303 board, making it a seven-way race for four seats, a district official said Friday.

Nancy Muzzey filed her nominating petition Thursday, and Richard Leidig filed his paperwork Friday, the employee said. They join five people who filed Monday – newcomer Jim Conro and incumbents Jim Gaffney, Steve Spurling, Mike Vyzral and Corrine Pierog.

Elected candidates will serve four-year terms expiring in 2017. Petitions will be accepted at the district’s administration center, 201 S. Seventh St., until 5 p.m. Wednesday.
