Batavia police seek bank robbery suspect

BATAVIA – Batavia police are looking for a man who robbed a bank at gunpoint Saturday morning.

According to a statement, the robbery occurred at 10:08 a.m. Old Second National Bank, 1078 E. Wilson St. Police were notified by an alarm. No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a white man approximately 2 5-30 years old, 5-foot-nine or five-foot-10 inches tall. He was wearing a back hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head and a black scarf covering his face up to his eyes and blue jeans.

He showed a black semi-automatic handgun and took an unknown amount of money, according to police.

The suspect left in a white or light-colored small four-door sedan.

Batavia police are working with the FBI to investigate the robbery .
