Face Time with David Kovach

Kaneville resident David Kovach, 46, was at St. Gall Catholic Church in Elburn, where he had just performed with a musical group during a Mass, when he answered 10 questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Al Lagattolla.

What was your first job? My first job was working at Venture department store.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A scientist

What is your favorite charity? The church

Do you have any hobbies? I am a firefighter in Kaneville.

What is your favorite local restaurant? Country Cafe in Big Rock

How did you come to start performing? I started playing bass because my father played bass, and he wanted to play mandolin. He wanted someone to play the bass, and I said I would do it for him.
