Couple to open gelato cafe on North River Street in Batavia

BATAVIA – A Batavia couple plans to bring a taste of Italy to North River Street next year.

Andrea and Tora Chiappelli in February plan to open an Italian gelato cafe, O’Sole Mio, at 27 N. River St. in the building that formerly housed the offices of U.S. Congressman Bill Foster. Antonio Natale of Carol Stream also is a partner in the business.

O’Sole Mio will serve gelato, which is the Italian version of ice cream.

What do you think of people using fireworks near their homes?

That shouldn't be tolerated. It's dangerous.
I'd never do it, but I'll watch others.
It's OK so long as the fireworks are legal.
It's not a problem. It's just a way to celebrate.
I have no opinion.
