Letters to the Editor

Letter: Celebration a success

To the Editor:

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you from everyone at Fox Valley Older Adult Services to the many people who came out for our Country Christmas 40th Anniversary Celebration on Dec. 14.

What a fun evening!

The Christmas spirit was alive and well as shown by the generosity of the many donors who made the evening such a great success. Our special Christmas tree was filled with angels donated in memory of loved ones.

Auctioneer Jim Elliott donated his services to auction off money trees donated by NB&T and Centrue, Heartland and Castle banks, as well as a special lotto tree donated by the Country Market.

The band Headin’ West kept the dance floor filled all evening, with people enjoying dancing to everything from Christmas to country western to rock tunes – they were fantastic! And last but not least, thanks go to our staff, board members and the many volunteers who all worked hard to make this celebration such a success.

We extend our heartfelt thanks for the tremendous support from organizations and individuals throughout the community. Your generosity enables us to continue providing programs and services for seniors in Kane, DeKalb, LaSalle and Kendall counties to enable them to continue living independently. Funds also support Rachel's Place Adult Day Service in Aurora, a program of Fox Valley Older Adult Services.

Cynthia Worsley and the board of directors and staff at Fox Valley Older Adult Services
