Library announces winners of raffle

ELBURN – The Friends of the Town and Country Public Library in Elburn held a Christmas raffle Dec. 12. Raffle prizes included a vintage 1997 Swan Lake Barbie, a John Deere toy and an old-world Santa.

The winner of the vintage 1997 Swan Lake Barbie was Tania Miller.

The winners of the John Deere toy was Marge Tupy and Joe Kryszak, who decided to donate their prize to Calvin and Eli Miller because the Miller family members are active library volunteers.

The winner of the old-world Santa was Diane Fabrizius.

The Barbie was donated by Fran and Marty Kitz of Elburn in honor of their granddaughter Sarah, a student of the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.

This is the seventh year the family has donated a Barbie collector’s item to the Friends.

The John Deere toy was donated by Arends Hogan Walker, a local John Deere dealer.

The old-world Santa with additional Christmas decorations was donated by the “crafty crafters” of the Community Congregational Church of Elburn.
