Silverman turned in a strong performance at last week’s Charger Invitational, including a career-high 23 points Friday against Buffalo Grove.

St. Charles North senior Alex Silverman was a bright spot last week as the North Stars struggled at Dundee-Crown’s Charger Invitational. Silverman’s quality marksmanship was highlighted Friday when she tied a career high with six 3-point makes against Buffalo Grove in setting a new career high of 23 points. Silverman’s hot week earned her St. Charles Bank & Trust-Kane County Chronicle Athlete of the Week honors. She touched on her performance with Chronicle sports editor Jay Schwab.
