St. Charles resident John Ladeur, 22, was at the Batavia Public Library when he answered 10 questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.

Where did you grow up? Wheaton

Pets? I share a standard poodle named Tess with my brother.

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Woody Harrelson because I think I’m going to look like him in 15 years.

First job? Stocking produce at the Blue Goose in St. Charles

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I believe when I was in kindergarten, I wanted to be a dolphin trainer. That has not worked out. But throughout my schooling, I wanted to work in direct care, and I am trained to be a physical therapy assistant.

A book you’d recommend? “How to See Yourself As You Really Are” by Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th dalai lama

Favorite charity? Save the Children

Hobbies? Exercise, meditate and read. I sing. My brother plays guitar, and we both sing, sometimes a duet.

Favorite local restaurant? El Molcajete in Geneva

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I am a fraternal twin, born a minute after my brother. I ran the 2010 Chicago Marathon in four and a half hours and vowed never to do it again. It was really hot... I felt lucky I was able to finish.
