Kaneland Connection: Elburn open house offers vision of the future

Elburn residents have an opportunity to shape the village’s vision at an open house for its comprehensive plan. The event will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Elburn Lions Club, 500 S. Filmore St.

Village President Dave Anderson said there will be an unveiling of the new comprehensive land-use plan. Those involved will take information from residents, and the process is expected to be complete in April. According to a post on the village’s website, the plan “revisits and modernizes the recommendations included in the village’s 1990 land use plan and development guide.”

“It’s a vision of what Elburn will be in 20 years,” Anderson said.
