Crowd, Wheaton Academy too much for Aurora Central Catholic boys basketball

WEST CHICAGO – The Wheaton Academy boys basketball team opened the game with back-to-back 3-pointers as the Warriors netted five total in the first quarter to bury Aurora Central Catholic early en route to a 54-25 win Friday in Suburban Christian Conference Blue play.

The game was never in question as the Warriors used smothering defense and quick hands in the passing lanes to force 16 turnovers by the Chargers (9-9, 4-4).

The Warriors held their opponent to 10 second-half points, including one point in the third quarter.
