ST. CHARLES – St. Charles School District 303 received a record-high parent satisfaction rating during a survey seeking parental feedback, the district announced Tuesday.

Of the 2,114 responses, 84 percent said they were “mostly” or “very” satisfied with their child’s school. This tops the previous high of 80 percent, which was recorded in 2011-12.

District 303 also recorded its highest marks ever in parent satisfaction by grade level. About 88 percent of elementary school parents, 85 percent of middle school parents and 77 percent of high school parents indicated they were “mostly” or “very” satisfied. Previous highs were 86, 84 and 76 percent, respectively.

Superintendent Don Schlomann in a news release thanked all the parents who participated.

“The feedback we get from this survey is very important to us, especially the additional comments where parents address their concerns about some very specific issues,” he said in the release.

“I read all the comments that are generated by this survey. In the past, the additional comments to the survey have led to actions taken by District 303 administration in a wide range of areas from curriculum to food service.”

The survey was conducted through the district’s website between Dec. 11 and 18. All parents were asked to complete a survey at the proper grade level for each of their children who attend District 303 schools.

The district has conducted the Parent Satisfaction Survey every year since 1992-93.
