Two charged in theft, burglary in Geneva
GENEVA – Two people are charged with felony burglary and misdemeanor theft of items from a purse in a store, according to Geneva police.
Cornelius D. McCrary, 19, of the 1300 block of South Ada Street, Chicago, and Miranda M. Grocesley, 21, of the 300 block of Old Indian Trail, Aurora, were charged Friday. Grocesley is being held in the Kane County Jail on $3,000 bond. McCrary was released without a bond. Both are scheduled to appear in court Feb. 7.
The felony burglary charge carries a penalty of three to seven years in prison and fines of up to $25,000. The misdemeanor theft charge carries a penalty of up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $2,500.
