Kaneville woman, 78, dies in Route 38 collision

ELBURN – A 78-year-old Kaneville woman died Tuesday after a collision with a truck on Route 38 west of Elburn, Kane County sheriff’s officials said.

Lt. Pat Gengler said in a news release that Lorella Huff of the 46W500 block of Main Street was traveling north on Francis Road and didn’t stop at the stop sign for Route 38.

Her 1995 Toyota Camry reportedly entered the intersection and, about 11:45 a.m., hit a 2012 Hino box truck traveling west on Route 38, which did not have a stop sign at that intersection.

What do you think of people using fireworks near their homes?

That shouldn't be tolerated. It's dangerous.
I'd never do it, but I'll watch others.
It's OK so long as the fireworks are legal.
It's not a problem. It's just a way to celebrate.
I have no opinion.
