Campton Hills seeking to hire administrator

CAMPTON HILLS – Campton Hills village trustees earlier this week passed an ordinance to open up a village administrator position and now are in the process of making room in their 2014 internal budget.

Village President Patsy Smith said it would be the first time the village would have its own administrator, adding that those duties have largely fallen on her in the nearly six years since the village has been incorporated.

“We’ve never had it because I’ve always done the position voluntarily,” she said. “It’s been a lot of work. It’s not easy to get a village up and running.”

What do you think of people using fireworks near their homes?

That shouldn't be tolerated. It's dangerous.
I'd never do it, but I'll watch others.
It's OK so long as the fireworks are legal.
It's not a problem. It's just a way to celebrate.
I have no opinion.
