‘James and the Giant Peach’ to open at Steel Beam

The play “James and the Giant Peach” will be presented by Steel Beam Children’s Theatre, 111 W. Main St. in downtown St. Charles on weekends beginning Sunday, Feb. 17.

ST. CHARLES – The play “James and the Giant Peach” will be presented by Steel Beam Children’s Theatre, 111 W. Main St. in downtown St. Charles on weekends beginning Sunday, Feb. 17.

Performances will take place at 1 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays from Feb. 17 through March 10, with an additional performance at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 9.

Roald Dahl’s story about James Henry Trotters adventure in a magical peach, where he is accompanied by large insects.

Sean Kelly of Chicago is the director. The cast of actors includes Chase Costello of Elburn; Audrey Carberry, Nisha Hawkins, Helen and Will Johnson, Isabelle Schamberger and Ellie Wood of Geneva; Aaron Delaney, Allison Cole, Shannon Foran, Bekah Kolka, Jake Lauger and Ben Tishkoff of St. Charles; Fletcher and Holden Peterson of Wheaton; and Joey Prette of Winfield.

Tickets cost $15 for adults and $10 for children and can be purchased by visiting www.steelbeamtheatre.com or by calling 630-587-8521.
