Kaneland Connection: Elburn Lions Club readies for free dinner

The Elburn Lions Club dishes out free spaghetti on the fourth Tuesday of every month, and club member Chris Halsey said all are welcome. The dinners have drawn good crowds of people, who come for various reasons.

It’s free, so it’s perfect for those who otherwise cannot afford to dine out. Also, the Elburn Lions have cooked for those who were interested in joining the state’s largest Lions Club. And, Halsey said, there are those who want to mingle and enjoy a meal with other local residents.

The dinners are at 5 p.m., and the next dinner is Tuesday.
