Building ‘a total loss’ after fire on Tuesday
KANEVILLE TOWNSHIP – A fire Tuesday night at a fertilizer plant damaged two buildings, but there were no injuries.
Dave Hintzche, the president of Hintzche Fertilizer on County Line Road, west of Kaneville, said the fire took place at a maintenance facility on the property. He said it appeared that a large truck parked in the shop had an electrical fire, and the building caught on fire.
There were two buildings affected, but one was an addition, and Hintzche said it was “essentially one building.”
